Terms & Conditions
These terms govern the use of the Altiora Training website and bookings for training provided to individuals, businesses and organisations.
About these terms
These Terms & Conditions apply when you use this website, submit an enquiry, make a booking or purchase training from Altiora Training.
āYouā means the learner, person making the booking, or organisation purchasing training. āWeā, āusā and āourā mean Altiora Training.
By completing a booking, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms. Nothing in these terms removes or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Eligibility and authority to book
You must provide complete and accurate information when making a booking. Some qualifications have minimum-age, language, physical-participation, prior-learning or workplace-experience requirements.
If you book on behalf of another person or an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so and that the learner has been informed of the relevant training requirements and these terms.
Training information
We aim to describe each training programme accurately, including its content, duration, delivery method, entry requirements, assessment and price.
Qualification titles, learning outcomes and assessment requirements may be determined by an awarding organisation or regulatory framework and may change where required by those bodies.
Bookings and confirmation
A submitted enquiry does not reserve a place. A booking is confirmed only after we have accepted it and issued written confirmation or a booking receipt.
Places are subject to availability. We may refuse or cancel a booking where payment has not been received, information is incomplete, eligibility requirements are not met, or accepting the booking would be unlawful or unsafe.
Please check your confirmation carefully and notify us promptly if any information is incorrect.
Fees and payment
- Training fees are shown in pounds sterling unless stated otherwise.
- The applicable price is the price confirmed at the time of booking.
- Payment must be made using an available payment method or agreed invoice arrangement.
- Where an instalment plan is offered, all instalments must be paid by their stated due dates.
- Failure to pay may result in suspension or cancellation of the booking.
- Additional costs, such as resits, replacement certificates or specialist materials, will be disclosed before they are charged.
Any applicable taxes will be handled in accordance with the information provided during checkout or invoicing.
Training dates and availability
Public training is normally displayed through our Training Calendar. Availability, capacity and dates may change as bookings are received.
A place is not guaranteed until the booking has been confirmed. Where a date is full, we may offer an alternative date, transfer option or waiting list where available.
Start and finish times, venue details and joining instructions will be provided before the training.
Changes or cancellation by Altiora Training
We may need to change a trainer, venue, timetable, delivery method or training date because of circumstances such as low enrolment, trainer illness, venue problems, transport disruption, public-health issues, safety concerns or events beyond our reasonable control.
Where a material change is necessary, we will provide reasonable notice where possible and offer an appropriate alternative, transfer, credit or refund according to the circumstances and applicable law.
We are not responsible for indirect costs such as travel, accommodation or loss of earnings unless liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Cancellations, transfers and substitutions by customers
Requests to cancel, transfer or substitute a learner must be made in writing. The outcome will depend on the timing of the request, the type of booking, commitments already made and any statutory cancellation rights.
Our separate Refund Policy explains the applicable refund, transfer, credit and non-attendance arrangements.
Where a consumer has a legal right to cancel an online or distance contract, those statutory rights take priority over any inconsistent contractual term.
Attendance, punctuality and conduct
Learners are expected to:
- arrive on time and attend the required learning hours;
- follow reasonable instructions from trainers and venue staff;
- behave respectfully towards other learners and staff;
- comply with health, safety and safeguarding requirements;
- avoid disruptive, abusive, discriminatory or unsafe behaviour; and
- complete required assessments honestly.
We may refuse admission or remove a learner where conduct creates a safety risk, seriously disrupts training or breaches these terms. Fees may not be refundable where removal results from the learnerās conduct.
Assessment, results and certificates
Attendance alone does not guarantee a qualification or certificate. Learners must meet the stated attendance, participation and assessment requirements.
Assessment decisions may be subject to verification, quality assurance or approval by an awarding organisation. Certificate issue times may therefore vary.
Learners are responsible for providing accurate names and details for certification. Charges may apply where a replacement or correction is required because incorrect information was supplied.
Online and digital training
Learners attending live online or self-paced training are responsible for having suitable internet access, a compatible device and any required software.
Login details and digital materials are personal to the registered learner and must not be shared. Recording, copying or redistributing online sessions or materials is prohibited unless we give written permission.
Temporary technical disruption may occur. We will take reasonable steps to restore access or provide an appropriate alternative where the problem is within our control.
Corporate and group training
Corporate training is subject to written confirmation of the date, location, learner numbers, fees, facilities and delivery requirements.
Corporate requests should normally be submitted at least 48 hours before the preferred training time. This does not guarantee availability.
Where training is delivered at a clientās premises, the client is responsible for providing a suitable, safe and accessible venue and disclosing relevant hazards.
Accessibility and reasonable adjustments
Learners should inform us as early as possible of accessibility needs or reasonable adjustments. We will consider requests fairly and make reasonable efforts to support participation without compromising qualification or safety requirements.
Further information is available in our Accessibility Statement.
Intellectual property
Website content, course materials, branding, graphics, recordings and documents are owned by or licensed to Altiora Training unless stated otherwise.
Materials are provided for the learnerās personal training use. They may not be reproduced, sold, published, shared, adapted or used to deliver competing training without written permission.
Responsibility and liability
We will provide services with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes liability where exclusion is unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Training provides knowledge and practical instruction but does not replace professional medical, legal, regulatory or workplace-specific advice.
Business customers are responsible for deciding whether training meets their organisationās legal, operational and risk-assessment needs.
Privacy and cookies
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Information about cookies and website technologies is available in our Cookies Policy.
Complaints and concerns
If you are dissatisfied with a booking, training session or service, contact us promptly and provide enough information for us to investigate.
We will aim to respond reasonably and may request supporting information. Where a complaint concerns an assessment or qualification, an awarding bodyās separate appeals or complaints procedure may apply.
Governing law and general terms
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory rights available to consumers in another part of the United Kingdom.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive that right.
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms applying to a confirmed booking will normally be those provided or available when the booking was made, unless a change is required by law or agreed with you.
